Whatever he is, he's an ass. But to an extent I can understand feeling the need to defend lifted trucks. A lot of people lift their trucks out of practicality or necessity. Lift height laws would harm them as well, not just bro truck drivers. It would also devistate-if-not-end desert racing. Lifted trucks illegal = no more Baja 1000

No, it would not end desert racing. How many of those guys dd their Baja trucks? Lift height laws are silly. I just commented about "Bro Trucks are Illegal", not the rest of the law. I like properly done cars, trucks, bikes, and trikes. I hate lifted rollin coal bro trucks with "lift kits" on them. As an engineer, shit like those Daystar 3 inch thick shock mount bushings and what not, frighten me.

I'm with you about bro trucks, I absolutely despise them. But the law doesn't specifically target bro trucks, it targets all lifted trucks, be the lift functional or not.

And while you're right about most Baja trucks not being street legal you're forgetting about the support trucks. Teams use lifted chase trucks to get fuel and spares out to the pit areas because at most locations that's the only way they can get to the truck to service it. Not to mention needing to traverse the course to recover a stuck/crashed/broken truck after the race. Without them teams wouldn't be able to race.

Another casualty would be the pre-runner. Teams spend as much as a month running the course over and over again before the race, finding the best lines and the potentially deadly hazards. To try and do Baja without pre-running/danger notes is essentially a suicide mission. Because all this pre-running takes place while the course is open all pre-runners must be licensed and road legal.

True enough. And like I said I agree with that sentiment. I'm just a little frustrated because I live in Massachusetts and, like I said, it targets all lifted trucks. Like to go wheeling and rock crawling on trails during the weekend? Might as well do it in your mom's Outback because you can't lift your truck. Live out in the woods on a road the county doesn't maintain it in the winter? That's a shame, can't lift your truck. Own a farm that provides meat/produce to hundreds of people and you use your truck in the fields? Thank you for your service to the community but you can't lift your truck.
